Governor Mikie Sherrill Announces First Round of Key Staff Appointments for New Jersey Administration

By Adam Rizvi | Editor, The India Observer (TIO): TRENTON, NJ — Mikie Sherrill, Governor of New Jersey, has announced the first group of senior staff members who will help lead her administration in Trenton. The newly appointed team will operate under the direction of Chief of Staff Alex Ball, Chief Operating Officer Kellie Doucette, and Chief Counsel Tim Lydon.

According to the governor’s office, the appointments represent the early leadership structure tasked with advancing the administration’s priorities, including lowering costs for residents, improving transparency in government, and strengthening protections for children online.

“My administration is on a mission to deliver for all of New Jersey,” Governor Sherrill said in a statement announcing the hires. “I am thrilled to hit the ground running with this team of dedicated public servants who are committed to tackling our nation’s affordability crisis, better protecting our kids online, and demanding government transparency.”

Chief of Staff Alex Ball said the group brings a wide range of experience and perspectives to the administration.

“We are bringing together an impressive team of individuals from diverse backgrounds — each ready to take on the most pressing challenges facing New Jerseyans,” Ball said. “I look forward to working with this team to ensure Trenton is accountable to our state’s 9.5 million residents.”

Officials said additional appointments will be announced in the coming weeks as the Sherrill administration continues building its leadership team.
