Middlesex County to Honor Residents Turning 90+ During Older Americans Month Celebrations

By Adam Rizvi | Editor, The India Observer (TIO): MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ — In recognition of the contributions and life experiences of senior residents, the Middlesex County Office of Aging and Disabled Services will host a series of special celebrations this May as part of Older Americans Month.

The annual “90+ Birthday Celebration and Luncheon” will honor Middlesex County residents who are turning 90 years old or older in 2026, celebrating their longevity and the rich history they represent within the community.

Four separate events are scheduled across the county during May 2026 to make it easier for seniors from different municipalities to participate. Each honoree may bring one guest, and registration is required.

County officials say the program reflects the county’s commitment to recognizing older residents and promoting dignity, community connection, and healthy aging.

Residents of Edison, Perth Amboy, Metuchen, Woodbridge, and Carteret

Residents of Piscataway, Dunellen, Middlesex Borough, South Plainfield, New Brunswick, Milltown, Highland Park, and North Brunswick

How to Register

Eligible residents who are turning 90 or older in 2026 can register for the event serving their municipality. Each honoree may bring one guest.

Participants may also register by calling the Office of Aging and Disabled Services at 732-745-3295. Seniors who need transportation assistance are encouraged to contact their local senior center for support.

Celebrating a Lifetime of Contributions

The celebrations are designed to recognize the wisdom, resilience, and contributions of Middlesex County’s senior residents who have witnessed decades of history and community development.
