Another crime under the influence of alcohol in Rajasthan

In another incident of crime committed under the influence of alcohol, a man in an inebriated state sat ablaze his wife who was feeding her infant in Chortalai village under Mothpur police station area of Baran district.

The incident took place on Wednesday when the accused asked Maya Bai (victim) for money to buy more liquor and she refused, leading to a heated argument after which he brought the kerosene and soaking her in it, put her on fire.

Police has lodged a case of murder as the infant succumbed to his injuries while the mother still battles for her life with 80% burns at a government hospital in Kota as informed by the senior police officer of Mothpur Police station on Thursday.

The accused managed to flee as neighbors came to help the victims and intimated the police however, police have ensured that he will be nabbed soon.
