Crescendo of Caring: Friends of Prayas Hosts Successful Holiday Event to Brighten Christmas for Local Children

By Amitabh Srivastava, Edited by Adam Rizvi, The India Observer, TIO: NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – December 14, 2025 – The spirit of giving was alive and vibrant last night as the non-profit organization Friends of Prayas successfully hosted its first, annual holiday event, “Crescendo of Caring.” Held on December 13, 2025, in North Brunswick, NJ, the event aimed to collect toys and bring much-needed joy to underprivileged children in the local communities of Mercer County this Christmas season.

A Night of Music and Generosity

The atmosphere was festive and warm, with the event drawing a fantastic crowd of 85 to 90 enthusiastic attendees. The evening’s primary objective was simple yet profound: to gather a significant collection of toys to brighten up Christmas for children who might otherwise go without.

“We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our community,” said a representative from Friends of Prayas. “Every single toy donated tonight is a promise of a smile on a child’s face this holiday.”

The Legends Deliver a Scintillating Performance

Bringing the “Crescendo” to life was New Jersey’s leading band, The Legends, and their talented performers – F.Zafar, Gauri Pandey, Shahzad Khokhar & Rajib Sarkar. They delivered a scintillating and memorable performance, filling the venue with high-energy music that kept spirits high and reinforced the joyous nature of the cause. Their contribution was instrumental in making the night a resounding success, turning a simple fundraiser into a true celebration.

Looking Ahead

Following the success of the toy drive, Friends of Prayas reiterated its commitment to community engagement. The organization plans to use the momentum from the event to fuel future efforts.
