‘Bluffmaster gogo’ needs to step up his game, Tanushree Dutta slams Nana Patekar

Actor Tanushree Dutta on Saturday slammed Nana Patekar and said that she is putting together a team of lawyers and advocates to defend her interests.

Actor Tanushree Dutta on Saturday slammed Nana Patekar and said that she is putting together a team of lawyers and advocates to defend her interests.

She also called the claims made by Nana’s lawyer as bluff and claimed that she has not received any legal notice from the ‘Welcome’ actor.

“So bluffmaster gogo needs to step up his game a bit here,” says Tanushree Dutta.

Dutta says Patekar and his lawyer should be questioned and taken to task. She requests the Bar Association of India to ‘call out’ and take action against him and “other such people who help perpetrators further harass their victims and witnesses in the name of law.”

A former beauty queen, Tanushree Dutta had first raised the allegation against Nana Patekar in 2008, and recently brought the spotlight once again on her unpleasant experience of working with Nana during the shooting of “Horn ‘Ok’ Pleassss”, in an interview.

Actor Nana Patekar had dismissed an accusation of sexual harassment by actress Tanushree Dutta, saying he may take legal action.

In his first response since the allegation re-emerged this week a decade after Tanushree had spoken out about it, Nana told Mirror Now: “What can I do about what one says? You tell me. What does it mean by sexual harassment?”

In an interview to IANS, she recounted Nana’s “misbehaviour” on the set.

“He (Nana Patekar) called the MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) party to bash up my car. He was behind everything and was supported by Ganesh Acharya (choreographer)…”

Following the allegations, Patekar’s lawyer responded saying, he will send a legal notice to her.

Tanushree said that no one can stop her from speaking the truth and the “threat of legal notice” can’t intimidate her.

The 34-year-old actress also expressed concern over the lawyers who can do anything for money.

“Current scenario raises how when a victim speaks up there are morally bankrupt and corrupt lawyers and advocates who come forward to defend serial harassers and offenders for their two seconds of fame. Despite witnesses coming forward and all evidence in my support I am being subjected to criminal intimidation and harassment by Nana’s helper.

“I’m sure this guy has many skeletons in his closet too as birds of a feather always flock together. This is the story of countless millions in our country who are still waiting for justice because they got dragged into a web of legal mumbo jumbo and were silenced into submission.”

Dutta has also posed serious allegation against director Vivek Agnihotri.

In an interview to DNA, the actor said that during the shooting of her first movie ‘Chocolate’, she was asked by its director Vivek Agnihotri to remove her clothes ‘and dance’.

Agnihotri reportedly made this comment so as to give cue to actor Irrfan Khan who was in front of the camera.

Dutta adds that both Irrfan Khan and Suniel Shetty, who were on the set were horrified at Agnihotri and spoke up against the director’s behaviour.

Dutta hasn’t explicitly named Vivek Agnihotri in the interview.

While Bollywood celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Hansal Mehta among many others who came out in support of actress Tanushree Dutta, responses by Amitabh Bachchan were interesting.

Responding to journalist’s question at ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ trailer launch, Bachchan said that “Neither am I Tanushree, nor am I Nana” and hence he can’t comment on the issue.
